General Motors announced this afternoon that it is preparing to give back two of it's leased corporate jets, a move designed to free up resources, "no matter what the consequences, that's how much we care. Now give us money."
This is not the first sacrifice GM has made in their executive trappings. In September, they ended leases on two jets, which brought their fleet down to a meager five. And now this latest fall from grace.
GM spokesman Tom Wilkinson said that the company had planned on giving up the latest two jets even before Congress made merciless fun of them.
"We understand the symbolic issue of people showing up in Washington in corporate jets," Wilkinson told Dow Jones. "We're very sensitive to the subject. That, and the fact that we're as broke as a motherfucker. I guess we'll just have to get a little more usage out of our road saucer."
